Christmas this year will be different for many of us – 2020 has been a year like no other! But as a Christian people we will be Joyful in Hope, and “Be Glad for all God is planning for us” As followers of Christ we are never without hope.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families peace and joy this Christmastime, and may God be with you and your families ever more fully in the coming year. I would like to thank the many people who have been involved in any way in preparing our Churches for the Christmas season (far too many to name) but I’m sure you will agree that our churches reflect the hard work that has been put in to them.
These are your copies of the weekly newsletter, Sunday Message Reflections, the readings and Gospel and a Homily, Take some time out each week to read these and pray for the most in need in our local community and across our global family. Please remember that if you a praying for a living person before adding names to the list you need their permission to do so.
Sunday Half Hour
Available now on our website – click the button below. The service based around the readings for the day provides prayers and material for reflection. Why not use this on Sunday at 10.00am to guide your time of prayer in solidarity with others in our parish community?
*There will be no Sunday Half Hour published on Sunday 27th December
Please light a virtual candle and add your own prayers requests and/or intentions in the comments section below. Though parishioners may be unable to attend, Fr John will celebrate Mass for the people whose names are on the prayer page. (If you are requesting a prayer for a living person please ensure you have their permission.)
We are now open for public worship at both churches.
You may now book to attend Mass on any day that there is a public Mass, including any Sunday
It is critical that the booking system remains in place to comply with government Track & Trace regulations. To ensure maintenance of social distancing in accordance with government guidelines we have a maximum capacity of 61 people so booking for Mass is ESSENTIAL….you can book via our website from Monday morning up until Thursday evening for the following week.
I would like to reassure you that we have done everything that we can to ensure your safety within our church, and if you haven’t yet felt confident enough to come along to Mass, I hope you will speak to those who have and they will provide you with further reassurance. Please remember that face coverings are mandatory.20th-December-4th-sunday-of-advent-2020-1
