Sunday Half Hour
Available now on our website – click the button below. The service based around the readings for the day provides prayers and material for reflection. Why not use this on Sunday at 10.00am to guide your time of prayer in solidarity with others in our parish community?
In addition to our regular Sunday service and to help you mark Advent at home there is a service available on the website, including the Blessing of the Advent Wreath: “Longing for Light”.
For daily reflections you can also visit https://www.chausa.org/advent-2020 and explore the interactive Advent calendar for adults or visit https://missiontogether.org.uk/calendar/adventresources/ to find some great kids Advent activities including an Advent Calendar to download.
Please light a virtual candle and add your own prayers requests and/or intentions in the comments section below. Though parishioners may be unable to attend, Fr John will celebrate Mass for the people whose names are on the prayer page. (If you are requesting a prayer for a living person please ensure you have their permission.)
We are now open for public worship at both churches.
You may now book to attend Mass on any day that there is a public Mass, including any Sunday
It is critical that the booking system remains in place to comply with government Track & Trace regulations. To ensure maintenance of social distancing in accordance with government guidelines we have a maximum capacity of 61 people so booking for Mass is ESSENTIAL….you can book via our website from Monday morning up until Thursday evening for the following week.
I would like to reassure you that we have done everything that we can to ensure your safety within our church, and if you haven’t yet felt confident enough to come along to Mass, I hope you will speak to those who have and they will provide you with further reassurance. Please remember that face coverings are mandatory.
Christmas Mass booking also opens this week, we have very limited spaces still available for Christmas Day at St Bernadette’s. Booking is essential and the remaining tickets are available on a first come first served basis.
